Cats > alarm clocks

Chika has now proven beyond a doubt that cats are better than alarm clocks. How? Well…
I'm asleep in my room, and at about 12:00 PM, I wake up to these rustling noises. Guess who? … … … … … Chika! I almost go back to sleep, but then I change my mind and go open the shades of the big window in my room so that Chika can look outside. Now I do a couple other things, then say, “Hey Chika! Wanna come downstairs?” and then go downstairs. Of course, she stayed in my room for a little while to finish looking out the window.
Please note that the proof is not scientific. Plus, I'm a pretty light sleeper sometimes. All I'm really trying to do here is be amusing. The anecdote is true, though. :)

(BTW, here's a mostly unrelated to my blog note: my time zone was set to pacific time, but I'm in the eastern time zone. It's fixed now, but the posts before this one were posted 3 hours earlier than they say they were.)
EDIT: Apparently there's an auto time change for all posts upon changing time zone, so actually all the times are correct now.

Oops, forgot to set "standards" for blog

You might want to simply scan through this post, because I think I might have gotten a little too much in depth.
OK. So my first post was somewhat out of the blue. I forgot to establish exactly how I would like my cats blog to be used. So first of all, this blog is not really mine. It's everyone's. Yes, I know, that's practically the definition of a blog. But what I mean is this:
OK, so I like to talk about cats. But as for topics about cats, my list is pretty short: cat toys, um… what else….
See what I mean? I can't really establish many topics about cats for this blog. So, people reading my blog (like you) and posting on it should be the ones who establish the cat topics for this blog, because otherwise, this blog won't grow. The truth is, blogs aren't grown by their makers. They're grown by their users.
Oh dear, I've gotten myself off topic. And I hope I didn't just explain all that with the result of people thinking something along the lines of "yeah, yeah, ok, nothing new there." I also hope that I didn't explain all that simply because I'm new to blogging and finally, well, "get it."
Well, now that I'm done rambling, it's time to go back to what I made this blog for: cats. Meow!
